The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 31, 2014. Incumbent Dave Young was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Isaia Aricayos was unopposed in the Republican primary. Young defeated Aricayos in the general election.[2][3][4][5]
