Campaign themes

2015

Chavez's campaign website highlighted the following themes for this election:

As a young and energetic voice for the next generation of Albuquerqueans, I am running for City Council District 4 to create the opportunities our young people deserve so that they can stay right here at home and grow their families and careers.

I am the son a teacher and small business owner, I know what it means to work hard for our community and put in the tough hours necessary to get the job done. I believe that for too long we have settled for the status quo and that it's past time for fresh ideas about how we support high-paying jobs back in our community, work with APS to fight for investments in our children's future, and reform our police force so that Albuquerque can keep and attract the best and brightest New Mexico has to offer.

I look forward to earning your support on the campaign trail. I am Israel Chavez, and I am running to give everyone an opportunity. [2]
