Israel Reyes
Israel Reyes was a General Jurisdiction Division judge of the Eleventh Circuit of Florida. He was appointed by former Governor Jeb Bush on August 14, 2003. He retired on May 22, 2011, but still serves as a Special Magistrate as needed. He has run The Reyes Law Firm, P.A.[1][2]
Education
Reyes received an A.A. degree (Criminal Justice) from Miami Dade Community College, a B.S. degree (Criminal Justice) from Florida International University, and a J.D. degree from Nova Southeastern University.[2]
Career
Reyes began his career working from 1979 to 1995 as a police officer/detective in South Miami and Miami. He began his legal career as an associate at a personal injury law firm. He then worked as an assistant state attorney until he joined the Miami-Dade County Court. In 2003, he was promoted to the Circuit Court. He has worked as the founder and managing partner of The Reyes Law Firm, P.A[2]
