Ivan Davis is a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. He was appointed to this position on September 22, 2008, and his current term expired on September 21, 2024.[1]

Education

Judge Davis received a B.A. degree in American Government from the University of Virginia in 1984 and a J.D. degree from Howard University School of Law in 1987.[2]

Career

Judge Davis became a First Assistant Federal Public Defender for the Eastern District of Virginia in March of 2002. He worked in this capacity until he was appointed to the U.S. District Court in 2008.[2]
