Born and raised in Gary and Merrillville, Indiana, I served my country for four years in the United States Navy during Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. After coming back from my 1st overseas deployment, I made the life-changing decision to give my life to Christ. This was the best decision I ever made and it changed the whole trajectory of my life.

After being honorably discharged from the Navy, I stayed an additional three years in San Diego, obtaining my bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. In 2010, I made the decision to move back to Indiana to see how I could best use my creative talents to enrich my hometown and glorify God. I immediately got involved in ministry at Embassies of Christ and that is where I met my beautiful wife, Kathelene. We now have two wonderful sons, Ivan III and Myles.

From civic engagements to community outreaches, I try to show the light of Christ to everyone I encounter. While engaging with the community, I’ve noticed a major cultural shift away from traditional family values and the truth of God’s word. Everyone seems to be doing what’s “right” in their own eyes and the government is making laws not condemning, but affirming this destructive behavior.

That is why I strongly believe Christians not only need to be in pulpit, but also in politics to help re-shape policy around the truth of God’s word and not by man’s ever-changing, ever-evolving opinion.
  • I will ensure that every parent in my district, regardless of income, is able to enroll their child in a school of their choice.
  • I will protect parental rights by ensuring parents are informed of curriculum taught in elementary school and if there are discussions about “sexual orientation” or “gender identity” taking place in class.
  • I will ensure that lockdowns, masks, and experimental vaccinations are never mandated again. I will protect our right to medical and religious freedom.
Social Policy, Child and Family Policy, Education Policy, Foreign Policy
I look up to Pastor Greg Laurie. Not only is he an evangelist and graphic designer, like me, he’s also a pastor who’s won millions to Christ through his Harvest Crusades. He stands for biblical truth and is not afraid to speak out on political issues.
I’m a honest, inquisitive, lifelong learner who is a student of history and seeks truth. I’m a natural problem solver, who uses my creativity to come up with solutions to problems, sometimes abstractly. I love people and love to hear their stories, concerns, and opinions on issues.
To be the voice of your constituents at the Statehouse, create common-sense legislation that helps enrich Hoosiers’ quality of life, and vote against immoral and/or unconstitutional legislation.
A legacy of saving and enriching children’s lives from the womb through adolescence, rebuilding the nuclear family, and protecting religious liberty, all while pointing a nation back to Christ.
Cooking Philly Cheesesteaks at Great Steak and Potato Company in the foodcourt at Southlake Mall in Merrillville, Indiana.
The Bible because not only does it contain the biography of the most important man that ever lived, but it’s full of ancient wisdom, practical advice, historical perspective, and gives you a glimpse into future events.
Happy Christmas (War Is Over)-by John Lennon and Yoko Ono
Eating healthy. I know I need to stop eating so much bread. It makes it so hard to lose weight! Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches, biscuits, pancakes and Cinnabon’s are my comfort foods!
Protecting the lives of the unborn and combating extreme leftist ideologies targeting our children.
Yes, because you need other legislators to help draft solid legislation and to get your bill to the finish line!
The story of how Gordon and Darquia Biffle went from barbecuing in the parking lot of Market City Flea Market to owning a chain of BBQ restaurants worth millions of dollars! Also, how Louis Robb went from being a teenage barber in Gary to owning multiple barbershops and barber & beauty colleges across the region!
“I don’t like to think before I speak, so I can be just as surprised as everyone else by what comes out of my mouth!”
A bill prohibiting biological males from competing in women’s sports.
Courts and Criminal Code, Public Policy, Veterans Affairs and Public Safety, & Family, Children and Human Affairs
The government should always be transparent on how they’re spending OUR money and should be held accountable for wasteful spending and abuse.
