Despite growing up in a humble household, JD had a desire to make a positive impact the community. He earned a masters in Public Administration from NYU while building small businesses and working as a healthcare professional in Stamford after serving in the US Army as a combat medic. Through his degree, he understands how public funds can be better leveraged to improve the quality of life for all while making sure that CT attains fiscal responsibility and smart spending of tax money. JD Currently serves on the Social Services Commission for the City of Stamford.
*Find best ways to stop fiscal crises and keep our highways with NO TOLLS
  • Facilitate funding to Stamford Schools and other districts without selling more GO bonds which can further plunge CT into debt
  • Invoke public opinion on matters that are debated upon in the capital
  • Encourage career development programs and a create a climate that promotes business development and job-growth
Honesty, technical ability and persistence. There is always something to improve and work on and sometimes it is not evident.
I have the initiative to get the job done despite challenges. I also believe in bi-partisanship and looking at an issue from a perspective of common sense and while keeping the well being of citizens, both current and future. Difficult decisions must be made but as long as all stakeholders understand the context of those decisions, then there should be less tension, push back and irrational arguments.
My very first job was delivering newspapers. I think I was one of the last paper boys they hired until our routes got consolidated and worked on by professional adult drivers. I learned the importance of teamwork and dedication . Through this job, I also kept up to date with the news and even though I never understood it, I knew that whatever it was that I was delivering to people, I hope it had contained positive, accurate news.
The greatest challenge will be to balance our budget while meeting the demands of our citizens amid a public health pandemic. There are plans to take even more money from tax payers despite CT being one of the highest taxed state in the union.
The checks and balances system envisioned by our nation's forefathers is an important accountability system that should be translated even at state level. As such, it is necessary to have every bill examined by multiple entities in the state legislature.
In depends on population shifts and property development.
While I believe in term limits, there is value in adding years to politician's career within the legislature.
