J.D. Strong
J.D. Strong was the Oklahoma Director of Wildlife Conservation. Strong assumed office on October 17, 2016. Strong left office on December 6, 2023.

Biography
A native of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Strong graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1993 with a degree in wildlife ecology.[2] Strong joined the Oklahoma Department of Environment in 1997, eventually being named Oklahoma Secretary of the Environment by Gov. Brad Henry in 2008.[3]

Oklahoma Director of Wildlife Conservation (2016-2023)
Strong was nominated as Director of Wildlife Conservation in September 2016 by the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission.[4]
Executive Director of the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (2010-2016)
Strong was nominated as the board's Executive Director in 2010 and held the position until becoming Director of Wildlife Conservation in 2016.[3]
Oklahoma Secretary of the Environment (2008-2010)
Strong was nominated as Oklahoma's Secretary of the Environment by Gov. Brad Henry in 2008.[3]
