Rogers ran in the 2012 election for Georgia State Senate District 31. Rogers ran and lost against against Bill Carruth and incumbent Bill Heath in the Republican primary on July 31, 2012. Carruth and Health will run in the August runoff. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
