J. B. McLaughlin
J. B. McLaughlin was the first Democratic West Virginia commissioner of agriculture, serving from 1932 until his death on November 20, 1955. Along with John W. Smith, McLaughlin was one of two agriculture commissioners in the state to die in office. McLaughlin was from Kanawha County.[1]
