J. Curtis Werren was a judge on the Stark County Court of Common Pleas General Division in Canton, Ohio.[1] He was appointed to the court by Governor John Kasich in June 2013 to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of former Judge Lee Sinclair. Werren assumed the bench on July 8, 2013. He was defeated in the 2014 election by Chryssa N. Hartnett and stepped down from the bench on December 31, 2014.[2][3]

Werren ran for re-election to the Stark County Court of Common Pleas General Division.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 49.9 percent of the vote. He competed against Chryssa N. Hartnett. [4] 

Education

Werren received his undergraduate degree from Grove City College in 1989 and his J.D. from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 1992.[2]
