J. David Langford
J. David Langford was a judge of the Tenth Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He took office on November 28, 1989. From January 1, 2007 to June 30, 2011, he was the chief judge of this court. Langford retired on June 30, 2013.[1][2][3][4]
Education
Langford received an A.A. degree from Polk Community College in 1970, a B.A. degree from the University of Florida in 1972 and a J.D. degree from the University of Florida College of Law in 1975.[1][5]
Career
Langford began his career in June of 1975 as an assistant state attorney in the 10th Judicial Circuit. He opened his own private law practice in February of 1978 and worked in that capacity until January of 1987. He also worked from 1983 to 1986 as a Avon Park City Attorney, a bank attorney for Sun Bank, and a Board attorney for the South Florida Community College. In January of 1987, he became a judge of the Highlands County Court. He then joined the circuit court in November of 1989.[1]
