J. Eric Smithburn

J. Eric Smithburn is a senior judge in Indiana. He was appointed in 2001 by the Indiana Supreme Court to serve by designation as a state trial court judge.[1][2]

Education

Judge Smithburn attended Indiana University in Bloomington to earn his Bachelor of Arts (1966), Masters degree (1970), and J.D. (1973).[2]

Career

In 1974 Smithburn became a member of the Indiana Bar and engaged in private practice in Plymouth, Indiana from 1974 to 1976. In 1976 he served as judge in Marshall County, Indiana until 1978. He was also an adjunct assistant professor at Indiana University at Bloomington in 1974.[2]
