J. Frank Porter

J. Frank Porter is a Charlotte County judge of the 20th Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He was appointed by former Governor Jeb Bush in December of 2003. His current term expires in January of 2019.[1][2][3]
Education
Porter received his A.A. degree from Edison Community College in 1980, his B.S. degree (in political science) from East Tennessee State University in 1982 and his J.D. degree from Cumberland School of Law in 1985.[1]
Career
Porter began his career as a civil lawyer at a Lee County law firm. After 16 years as a lawyer, he was appointed to the Lee County Court in 2001. He served there until his elevation to the circuit Court in late 2003.[1]
2012 election
Porter was unopposed and automatically re-elected following the primary election on August 14, 2012.[4]
