Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on June 24, 2014, receiving 15.4 percent of the vote. He competed against Jack Shook, Jr., Donald J. Stifler, and incumbent Judges Linda M. Hess and John Dale Smack, III. Primary candidates competed for 3 seats.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 21.8 percent of the vote. He competed against incumbent judges, William D. Shockley, Linda M. Hess and John Dale Smack, III, for three open seats.
