James Gary Pate was the presiding domestic relations judge of Circuit 10 in Jefferson County, Alabama.[1] He has served in this position since June of 1992.[2]

Education

Judge Pate graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1973. He then earned his law degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1976.[2]

Career

Judge Pate was admitted to the practice of law on September 27, 1976.[3] He has worked as a clerk for the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He also worked as a partner with Najjar Denaburg and the firm Boyd, Pate & Fernambucq before becoming a judge in 1992.[2]
