J. Howard Sundermann
J. Howard Sundermann was a judge on the Ohio First District Court of Appeals. He was elected to this position in 1995 and has served as Presiding Judge from 1998 until his term expiration on February 10, 2013.[1]
Education
Sundermann received his B.A. degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1963 and his J.D. degree from Georgetown Law School in 1966. He served as a U.S. Army Captain from 1966 to 1968 before becoming a lawyer.[1]
Career
Judge Sundermann began his legal career in 1969 as a lawyer in Cincinnati. He became a judge of the Hamilton County Municipal Court in 1980. In 1988, he moved to the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas, where he served until his election to the Appeals Court.[1]

Sundermann was re-elected to the Ohio First District Court of Appeals.[2]
