J. Lorraine Berry is a judge on the Orphans Court of Charles County in Charles County, Maryland.[1] She has served as a judge on the court since December 5, 2006.[2] Berry ran for re-election to the Orphans Court of Charles County in 2014, winning a term that expired on December 31, 2018.[3][4]

Primary: She was successful in the Democratic primary on June 24, 2014, receiving 31.0 percent of the vote. She competed against Darlene Breck, Janice Marie Talley, and incumbent Judge Frank H. Lancaster. Primary candidates competed for 3 seats.
General: She faced Brian L. Still, Darlene Breck and incumbent Judge Frank H. Lancaster in the general election on November 4, 2014, and won with 27.9 percent of the vote. Candidates competed for three open seats.

Berry was re-elected to the Orphans Court of Charles County with 20.90% of the vote in the general election on November 2, 2010. Warren A. Bowie and Frank H. Lancaster were also re-elected.[6]

Berry graduated from La Plata High School.[7]
Career
Before becoming a judge, Berry worked as a as a customer representative at a bank.[8]
