J. Mark Hayes, II is an at-large judge of the South Carolina Circuit Courts. He was elected by the South Carolina State Legislature in 2003.[1] He was re-elected on February 4, 2015, and February 3, 2021, to a term expiring in 2027.[2][3]

Education

Hayes received his B.A. from Wofford College in 1980 and his J.D. from the University of South Carolina.[1]

Career

Before becoming a judge, Hayes clerked for the Honorable E.C. Burnett, III, worked in private practice with the firm of Burts, Turner, Hammett, Harrison & Rhodes; and later at his own firms of Harrison & Hayes Law Firm and Harrison, White, Smith, Hayes & Coggins, P.C.[1]
