J. Patrick Hanley is a judge of the Alaska Third District District Court. He assumed office in 2005. His current term ends in 2029.

Biography
J. Patrick Hanley graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. In 1996 he earned his J.D. from the University of Utah College of Law.[1]

- 2000-2005: He represented the State of Alaska in criminal prosecution for the Anchorage District Attorney's Office
- 1998-2000: He worked for the Anchorage Municipal Prosecutor's office as an Assistant Municipal Prosecutor
- 1998: He worked as a staff attorney for the Alaska Court of Appeals
- 1996-1997: He worked for the Alaska Court of Appeals as a Law Clerk for Judge Robert Coats[1]
