J. Vincent Aug, Jr.
J. Vincent Aug, Jr. was a bankruptcy judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Southern District of Ohio. He was appointed U.S. Bankruptcy Judge in 1988 and reappointed in 2002.[1] Aug retired from the court on February 28, 2011.[2]
Education
Judge Aug received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University in 1968 and his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1973.[1]
Career
He was elected Chief Judge of the Southern District of Ohio Bankruptcy Court in 2006. Earlier, Aug served as a U.S. Magistrate for 12 years. He was a staff attorney for the Judicial Panel in Multidistrict Litigation and a reporter for the Cincinnati Post in his earlier years. Judge Aug also served on the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel of the Sixth Circuit from 1999 to 2007.[1]
