because being an elected official is supposed to be a calling and not a career
Legislative Leadership Term Limits so power does not become concentrated in the hands of too few
Because too much power in the hands of too few legislators corrupts too easily and too often

SO WE CAN LIVE IN AN ILLINOIS WE'RE PROUD TO CALL HOME!

Rebuild Social Services
So our neighbors in deep and real need know that somebody really cares. This is something I've already been working on for over 10 years having co-founded Lutheran Advocacy, a statewide social justice movement to do just this!
Invest in childhood education and well-being
So our newest and youngest citizens are best prepared for their future right from the start
Invest in neighborhood downtowns and business districts
So we have good places to shop and eat locally, right where we live
Invest in local, community infrastructure
So we have good sidewalks, roads, libraries, schools and parks in our own communities while providing good paying jobs
Pay Off our debt
So we can be free of the $135 Billion fiscal disaster self-serving, career politicians have created
Grow a rainy day fund
So we can weather the next financial storm ahead[1][2]
