I am a Teacher, Sailor, Truck Driver, Mechanic, Store Manager, Ordained Minister in the Church of the Latter-Day Dude, Inventor, and Actor running for CU Regent in CD4. I've lived a varied existence and returned to college in my 40s earning a teaching degree after attending 3 community colleges and two 4-year universities. I have sat as chair and in other positions on different boards and have overseen multi-million-dollar expenditures.
  • I believe in caring about people, not politics.
  • I am a teacher that also has other real-world experience, not just a politician looking for a position.
  • I have the experience the position needs, not experience in the political world.
Helping the under-served, defending those being bullied, and protecting our American way of life.
The Regents system allows representatives of the taxpayers to oversee the operation of the State funded University of Colorado system.
Empathy and consideration of all your constituents issues and needs. This should be a non-political position.
I am always willing to stick up for and defend the oppressed and underserved. I am willing to speak truth to power.
A well-run institution that will continue to be that way in perpetuity.
Piggly Wiggly stocking clerk. It lasted nearly a year. Well, a newspaper route was the very first. That lasted two years.
Many, many favorites but my favorite authors are Mercedes Lackey, Terry Pratchett, and Neil Gaiman.
My own character, Captain One-eyed Jack. I like me.
Close relationships. I now have a solid friend base to keep me centered.
Providing a focus and direction for the University system.
Some experience is needed to facilitate smooth operation of the meetings. A lot of political ties become a detriment to clear decision making.
I had a joke about cows that I was going to milk for all that it was worth but I think I'll just steer clear of that one.
