Jack Coghill
John Bruce "Jack" Coghill (b. September 24, 1925 - d. February 13, 2019) served as Alaska Lieutenant Governor as a member of the Alaskan Independence Party from December 3, 1990, to December 5, 1994.[1] He died on February 13, 2019, of natural causes at the age of 93.[2]
Coghill served in the territorial House of Representatives from 1953 to 1957. He also served in the state Senate from 1959 to 1964 and again from 1985 to 1990. He served as the mayor of Nenana from 1962 to 1985.[3]
Coghill was one of the 55 delegates that wrote the Alaska Constitution during the 1956 convention. He was the third delegate to sign the document.[2]
Biography
Coghill professional experience included working as a businessman. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946.[3]

Coghill and his wife, Patty, had six children. Their son John B. Coghill became a part of the Alaska State Senate in 2009.
