Jack Drake (July 29, 1934 - October 11, 2015) was a Republican member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing District 21 from 1993 to his death from natural causes in 2015.[1]

Biography

Drake's professional experience included working as a farmer and president of the East Pottawattamie Extension Council.[2]

Elections for the Iowa House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 14, 2014. Tim Ennis was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Jack Drake was unopposed in the Republican primary. Ennis faced Drake in the general election.[3][4][5] Incumbent Drake defeated Ennis in the general election.[6]

Drake was a member of 4-H, Cattlemen's Association, Corn Growers, East Pottawattamie County Farm Bureau, Pottawattamie County Republican Central Committee, Pottawattamie County Taxpayers Association, Soybean Association and the Walnut Area Development Association.[11]
