Jack Heidel (Republican Party) was a member of the Learning Community Coordinating Council in Nebraska, representing Achievement Subcouncil 3. He assumed office in 2010. He left office in 2018.

Heidel (Republican Party) ran for election to the U.S. Senate to represent Nebraska. He lost in the Republican primary on May 15, 2018.

Heidel was the Achievement Subcouncil 3 representative on the Learning Community Coordinating Council in Douglas County in Nebraska from 2010 to 2018. He did not run for re-election in 2018.

Heidel was previously a member of the Knoxville School Board in Tennessee, serving from 1975 to 1977.[1] He was also a 2012 Republican candidate for Nebraska's 2nd Congressional District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. He was defeated by incumbent Lee Terry in the primary on May 15, 2012.[2]

Heidel earned a B.A., an M.S., and a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Iowa. His professional experience includes work as an insurance agent and apartment manager and as a mathematics professor for the University of Tennessee and the University of Nebraska at Omaha.[1]

Heidel ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Nebraska's 2nd District. He sought the nomination on the Republican ticket, but he was defeated by incumbent Lee Terry in the May 15, 2012, primary.[3]
