I am running a really tiny campaign in a pretty big city, but I got a lot of heart and I don't give up. I am committed to my goals and finding a way to win, it's why I watch Seahawks games and why I am running for congress. My platform is very progressive and will be highlighted by repealing federal marijuana prohibition with universal amnesty, restructuring of the criminal justice system to better aide communities and the law enforcement that serves them, and immediate federal response to end the homelessness crisis sweeping the west coast and America abroad. Though these may be highlights, they are just a small piece of my broader progressive platform. My stances on issues like education, healthcare, electoral reform, wildfires, immigration and more can be found on my website. I am staunchly anti-corporate, and feel corporations have undue influence in our politics. I do not get any payments from PAC's, I don't spend money on adverts, and I don't make social media appeals for donations. Honestly, I haven't collected a dime in donations from anyone yet and I don't know If I will. Personally I don't feel comfortable asking hardworking people and families for money. I don't own stock, I am happy to release my tax returns, and I am not a millionaire. My progressive values are rooted in conservation of nature, equality, and realizing the pursuit of happiness.
  • Rebuild or Replace the West Seattle Bridge
  • Repeal Marijuana Prohibition at the Federal Level with Amnesty for those convicted of nonviolent Marijuana crime
  • Remove Influence of Corporations in Elections

My grandfather. A man who always stood by his convictions, raised eight kids, and was married to the love of his life from the day he met her until the day he died.

I miss my grandpa Jack very much, and I want to do him proud.
Honesty, Attendance, and Sincerity.

If you can't tell the truth, bother to show up, or be sincere you should not be making decisions for anyone.
I can sing, I can dance! I am fun, I am a real person. I do not have money, and I do not really want a ton of it. I don't ask people for money, I feel you should not have to pay me to support me.

I don't take money from anyone so I don't owe anyone any favors!
Representing the people of their district. It is literally the job title : Representative.
Change. I want people to say " Wow that Jack guy sure did change things for the better!"
Political canvasser for the Mark Begich federal Senatorial campaign in Alaska. I had it for his entire campaign.
The Winds of Winter - It is so good I am still waiting on it almost a decade later
AVATAR AANG!

You get to control all the elements, have sick tattoo's, can virtually fly, has great friends and a good life!
Homelessness. I have spent almost two years homeless in my life, and the struggles I went through will sit with me for a lifetime.
Addressing the growing calamity of homelessness. As metro areas continue to grow and property values continue to rise there is less and less room for the mentally ill, the financially vulnerable, and the disabled. These and other reasons have lead to millions of America's being without shelter, and these numbers will only grow without a national response.
I don't really care about the senate currently , I am running for the House. But I guess the senate is unique because of it s concentration of power, the disproportionate power smaller states have, and because every state guaranteeing has two of them.
The Filibuster is a old tool from a different age used currently to fire up base constituencies by blocking hot button bills. It is a waste of time and frankly unconstitutional in the sense that it directly interferes with the business of the Congress.
Are they a decent person? Do they give a damn? Will they take the oath of office seriously? These are questions that must be asked and answered with conviction, a no to any of these is a non-starter.
Duh? is that even question? Laws don't pass themselves.

Warren G. Magnuson. His Magnuson Act (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnuson_Act) introduced and passed during his brief tenure as congressman is a prime example of how a dedicated junior politician can change US immigration policy.
