Jack McHugh is a former board member for the Lucy Burns Institute (LBI). He served on LBI's board from the organization’s inception in 2006 until 2020.
Career
Jack began his career in treasury bond trading in Chicago and entered the Michigan public policy scene in 1994, where he spent six years as a legislative chief of staff in the House of Representatives, prior to joining the Mackinac Center.
As Senior Legislative Analyst for the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, Jack oversees MichiganVotes.org, a website focused on cataloging all the activities (bills, votes, and amendments) of the Michigan Legislature in plain English for the benefit of Michigan citizens.
Education
Jack earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, and a master’s degree in political science from Central Michigan University.
