Jack R. Puffenberger is a judge of the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas Probate Division in Ohio. He assumed office in 1991. His current term ends on December 31, 2026.

Puffenberger (Nonpartisan, Democratic Party) ran for re-election for judge of the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas Probate Division in Ohio. Puffenberger won in the general election on November 3, 2020. He advanced from the Democratic primary on April 28, 2020.


Puffenberger is a judge on the court's Probate Division. He joined the court in January 1991.[1][2] Puffenberger was re-elected to the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas Probate Division in 2014.[3][4]

Puffenberger was a candidate for the Ohio Sixth District Court of Appeals in the 2016 elections, but he withdrew in June 2016.[5][6]

Education

Puffenberger received his undergraduate degree from Kent State University in 1973, his master of science degree from Youngstown State University in 1975, and his J.D. from the University of Toledo in 1978.[1]

Puffenberger filed to run for a seat on the Ohio Sixth District Court of Appeals in the 2016 elections. He withdrew in June 2016, after advancing unopposed through the primary election.[5][6]
