- As an educator, I am an advocate for school choice.
- If I am fortunate to have the opportunity to represent the voters of TXHD99, I commit to going to Austin and do what the voters want me to do, not what I think is best. I am constrained only by our Constitution and my faith. I will advocate on behalf of my constituents, not on the behalf of the lobbyists that have been invaded Austin.
As a veteran, I am passionate about veteran issues. For example, we have a state law (Chapter 657) related to veterans employment preference, but there is no real enforcement mechanism. It's passage was little more than legislative virtue-signaling. I want to put teeth into that law. Otherwise, it should simply be repealed.
