Thomas lost his bid for re-election to the 60th District seat in 2010. He had no primary opposition but was defeated by Timothy Lewis (R) in the general election which took place on November 2, 2010.[1]

2008
On November 4, 2008, Thomas was elected to the 60th District Seat in the New Mexico House of Representatives, besting Paula Papponi (R).[2] Thomas raised $103,575 for his campaign, while Papponi raised $58,023.[3]
