I’m a veteran, husband, father, and former prosecutor. My wife, Rose Marie, and I grew up in Illinois and live in Arlington Heights. I’m an outsider to politics but have a passion for public service. I attended Northwestern University for college and Marquette University for law school. After law school I joined the U.S. Army. I deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 and later served as a military prosecutor and special assistant U.S. attorney. After the military, I served as an employment attorney for the Department of Defense and later the State of Illinois. I entered private practice in 2017.

I believe today’s political discourse is dominated by the extremes, and those of us looking for sensible solutions are left behind. Taxes are driving residents away and forcing small businesses to close. Inflation, gas, and grocery prices make it impossible to afford daily life. The safety of our neighborhoods is threatened by prosecutors who refuse to prosecute crime and by out-of-touch politicians committed to decriminalizing violence and letting drug dealers off easy.

I believe that the solutions to our state’s challenges will come from the place of common-sense pragmatism.

We need a fresh start.
  • Families in Illinois are struggling with sky-high taxes and soaring inflation that make it harder to afford daily life or get ahead. I believe the best way to combat inflation, improve the economy, and make things more affordable is to put more money back in the pockets of workers and families by providing tax relief and helping small businesses grow.
  • As a former criminal prosecutor, restoring public safety and protecting our neighborhoods is my priority. Residents in Chicago and the suburbs cannot thrive and prosper when crime is soaring, and they are concerned for the safety of their family. We must crack down on violent crime, support law enforcement, and fight drugs, guns, and gangs to keep our neighborhoods safe.
  • A quality public education system is one of the greatest engines for upward mobility in our society. Unfortunately, recent years have been hard on parents, students, and teachers alike. Many students have fallen behind in basic subjects like reading and math. I support raising education standards, making schools more transparent so parents are better informed, and getting back to basics like reading, writing, and math so children can be prepared for adulthood.
I’m passionate about policies that grow the economy so everyday life is more affordable and protect the safety of our neighborhoods so families can prosper and thrive in peace.

Illinois deserves a fresh start. In this era of extreme partisanship, many of us in search of sensible solutions have been left behind. The old way of doing things doesn’t work. I believe in common sense and the need to find pragmatic, bi-partisan solutions to the many challenges we face. It is impossible for anyone to prosper when crime is running rampant, when they are worried about their family’s safety, when businesses are being looted, and when our elected officials not only do nothing about the problem but make it worse. Whether it is letting criminals roam free, not prosecuting blatant crime, raising taxes, or proposing new taxes, my opponent, Mr. Walker does not represent the interests of our community. Mr. Walker endorsed Ms. Kim Foxx for re-election as our State’s Attorney and has enabled and empowered the out-of-touch agenda that not only makes life more expensive, but dangerous. Both Walker and Foxx need to go. As a veteran of the war in Afghanistan, a former prosecutor, and an experienced labor lawyer, I have the qualifications, experience, and temperament to help our state weather this storm and create a more prosperous future. We deserve lower taxes, a stronger economy, and safer neighborhoods. We can achieve them if bring common sense back to Springfield.
