I’m an Irvine mom, small business owner and proud resident of District 1. As a candidate for City Council, I am committed to serving our city with integrity, accountability and empathy, and fostering a community where every voice is heard and valued.

I’m a second generation Californian, and as the daughter of immigrants, I believe in giving everyone a fair chance at the American Dream. I understand what drove my Taiwanese American parents and so many others like them to pursue a brighter future - the belief that this is the best place to build something for yourself, your family and your community.

My love for Irvine began during my undergraduate years at UCI, and I’ve seen how much the city has evolved over the last twenty years. We are now at a pivotal moment in our city’s growth, and we need thoughtful planning, robust infrastructure and a strong city council to support Irvine’s future.

I believe in a life dedicated to service, which is why I volunteer for organizations that support survivors of sex trafficking, and I’m a member of the Irvine Community Emergency Response Team, a program that prepares residents for emergencies such as fire disasters.

Over the course of nearly two decades, I’ve been at the forefront of driving digital transformation within Fortune 500 companies spanning various industries. Professionally, I work for a medical device company and also own a small business that operates out of Irvine.
  • Public Safety - Enhance neighborhood safety through the implementation of impactful programs and services. Build upon the city’s collaboration with law enforcement and fire authorities to strengthen community partnership.
  • Environment & Sustainable Growth - Actively involve our community in shaping the future of the Gateway Preserve, an area undergoing transformation from an asphalt plant site to expansive open space. As we embark on this growth, which will extend the Jeffrey Open Space Trail into the North Irvine Open Space, it is essential to ensure that planning efforts are informed by comprehensive community engagement.
  • Children & Families - Improve the availability of quality childcare options for families through collaboration with childcare providers and community organizations. Many parents find themselves on childcare waiting lists for several years, if they manage to secure a spot at all. This shortage can significantly impact families, forcing them to make difficult decisions regarding their careers and financial stability. Access to safe, reliable, and affordable childcare is essential for the well-being of any community.
I'm passionate about public policies that directly impact the quality of life for our residents, including affordable and workforce housing, public safety, and sustainable development. I believe in creating housing opportunities that maintain Irvine's high standards and quality of life. I'm also dedicated to enhancing public safety through community-focused policing and advocating for investments to keep our city green, efficient, and prepared for the future.
Nearly twenty years ago, I held my first job right here in Irvine during my college years at UCI. I worked at Cha for Tea, a boba cafe at University Center, earning minimum wage ($6.75/hr at the time!), often working late into the night. Every dollar I earned went toward tuition and rent for the small apartment I shared with four roommates.

My experience in the service industry instilled in me the importance of treating others with respect and kindness. It reinforced the value of hard work, the necessity of fair wages and access to housing, and the vital role small businesses play in making Irvine the vibrant and thriving community it is today.

For too long, corporate special interest groups have seeped into our local politics, trying to influence elections. I refuse to accept contributions from such groups, and my plan to prioritize Irvine residents include the following:

- Reject special interest money and make sure local politicians report any conflicts of interest

- Ensure residents have the opportunities to provide input on new developments and city projects

- Ensure the city is transparent regarding the budget and decision-making process
