Running for Bellevue Village Trustee allows me to amplify the public's voice. As a citizen deeply concerned with community affairs, serving on the Village Board empowers me to make policy decisions and act in Bellevue's best interest.
  • My long-range focus is deliberate choices for infrastructure investments and pavement management to shape the community.
  • My mid-range focus is to create and expand parks, parkways, walkways, and trails, to enhance the quality of life of residents.
  • My short-range focus is to enhance digital strategies to safeguard continuity during increased volumes or in times of crisis.
I embrace holding public office as an act of service to all Bellevue residents. I will serve the community with your shared perspective as a resident, taxpayer, and property owner. I will focus to advance the collective decision-making body of the village board, who are responsible for adopting community policies, and empowering village staff to execute the vision.

Financial security is a major goal in life. Discussions centered on taxes brings uncertainty on the impacts to home, debt, living, and family expenses. My conversation on taxes is centered on value; value to residential services, value to supporting infrastructure, value towards our Strategic Plan priorities, and value towards building a community for future generations.
Participating in our representative democracy is not easy. It requires time and mental flexibility. You will sort facts and sift opinions, often looking beyond your own worldview and lifetime. The reward is that you are building a better community for yourself, your family, your neighbors, and even those you may never meet. It's an awesome responsibility, and your participation will leave you proud to have made a positive impact on your community.
A Village Trustee plays a vital role in representing the interests and needs of the community's residents. A Village Trustee is a member of the Village Board, which is an essential part of the local governance structure. The Village Board is responsible for shaping local policy, overseeing administrative functions, enacting ordinances, managing the municipal budget, and appointing members to various local boards and commissions. Working collaboratively with fellow board members, local agencies, and community stakeholders, a Village Trustee will contribute to the efficient and effective governance of the village.
Providing legal and compliance services to qualified retirement plans. My 30-year tenure with this role concluded with my retirement in 2021.
Village Trustees have no individual statutory authority or duties, as the power of the Village Board is collective. However, Village Trustees may serve as liaisons between the Village Board and constituents, facilitating communication through listening sessions, newsletters, and other means.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and make decisions in the best interests of the community. Familiarity with local government operations is a plus. Commitment to integrity, transparency, and ethical governance.
The hallmark of a strong community is a local government that is focused on its people; on serving them, on the co-creation of a place. Local governments benefits when they move from merely serving customers to engaging citizens by bringing local government closer to the people. Orienting towards people and elevating strong citizens, the people who care, will ensure we create Bellevue by design, our design.
