Jackie McClaskey was the secretary of agriculture in Kansas from 2013 to 2019. She was appointed by Governor Sam Brownback (R) in December 2013 to replace former secretary Dale Rodman, who stepped down on December 10, 2013.[1] She served until the change in gubernatorial administration in 2019.

Biography

McClaskey joined with the Kansas Department of Agriculture in 2011. She served as assistant secretary and deputy secretary. Before joining the department, she served as assistant dean of Kansas State University’s College of Agriculture.[2]

McClaskey assumed the office of state agriculture secretary on Dec. 10, 2013. She succeeded Dale Rodman. She served until the change in gubernatorial administration in 2019.
