Campaign themes

2010

Pierce's 2010 campaign website listed five key principles:

1. I believe that a strong and vibrant labor force was a backbone of America, and I will work tirelessly to achieve that.
2. I believe that we need to find dependable and consistent funding for our educational system so the young people in Oregon can compete in the world market.
3. I believe that all the people of Oregon have the right to make choices: Reproductive Choices, The right to Choose who to love, marry and raise a family with, and the right to make choices related to Death and Dying issues.
4. I believe that everyone is responsible for taking care of our environment. Without clean air, water and land we will not survive.
5. I believe that ALL PEOPLE should be treated with DIGNITY and RESPECT.
