Jackie Thrasher was a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 20 of the Arizona House of Representatives.

Thrasher was a candidate for the Arizona House of Representatives in 2002 and 2004. She served as a Precinct Committee Member for the Democratic Party from 2002 to 2006 and on the State Executive Committee of the Democratic Party from 2004 to 2006. From 2004 to 2006 she was a State Committee Member for the Democratic Party. She then served in the Arizona House of Representatives from 2007 to 2008. She ran for re-election in 2008 but was denied.

Thrasher attended Glendale Community College. She then earned her BM in Instrumental Music Education from Arizona State University in 1979.

Thrasher worked as a teacher at Alhambra High School of the Phoenix Union High School District in 1980. She has worked as band/orchestra director for the Washington Elementary School District since then.

Thrasher ran in the 2012 election for Arizona House of Representatives District 20. She and Tonya Norwood ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on August 28, 2012. She was defeated in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
