Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
| Shall the limitation on the annual property tax previously approved by the electors of Jackson County Intermediate School District, Michigan, for the education of students with a disability be increased by 1.55 mills ($1.55 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation), for a period of 6 years, 2012 to 2017, inclusive (0.9 mill of the above is a renewal of millage which expires with the 2012 tax levy and 0.65 mill is a millage increase, in part to restore previous Headlee reductions); the estimate of the increased revenue the intermediate school district will collect if the millage is approved and levied in 2012 is approximately $2,693,502 from local property taxes authorized herein?[6][7] |
