Jackson Parish Tax Renewals, 3 (November 2009)

There were three Jackson Parish Tax Renewals on the November 14 ballot in Jackson Parish.
Proposition 1, a 10 year tax that proposed a 5.06 mil tax renewal passed with 674 in favor of the proposition. The money generated from this tax goes towards the maintenance of parish roads.
Proposition 2, a 10 year 4.04 mil tax also passed with 666 in favor of it. This tax goes towards the maintenance of asphalt roads in the parish.
A property tax renewal was also proposed, 7.78 mil for a further 10 years. It was passed with 670 in favor. This tax goes towards operation of the parish schools.[1]
