Gov. Jared Polis (D) appointed Brown to succeed Judge Karen M. Ashby.[1]
Brown previously served as a judge of the 17th Judicial District. She was appointed to this position by Gov. John Hickenlooper (D) in May 2016, effective June 2016.[2]

Education
Brown received her B.A. degree from the University of Colorado in 2002 and her law degree from the St. Louis School of Law in 2005.[2]
