Jacob Norton
Jacob Norton was the Maine State Auditor. Norton assumed office on January 5, 2022. Norton left office on November 14, 2022.
Maine President of the Senate Troy Dale Jackson (D) appointed Norton Maine State Auditor on January 5, 2022, to replace Matthew Dunlap when he failed to obtain the required credentials within nine months of assuming office.[1] Norton resigned from state auditor after Dunlap successfully received the necessary credentials to serve as Maine State Auditor.[2]
Biography
Jacob Norton lives in Windsor, Maine. Norton graduated from Erksine Academy in 1998. He earned a B.S. in accounting from Thomas College in 2002 and an M.B.A. in 2005. Norton's career experience includes working as a principal auditor with the Maine Office of the State Auditor.[3][4]
