Jacqueline E. Bolton
Jacqueline E. Bolton was a judge for the Eleventh Circuit Court in Tennessee. She began serving in 1998 and left office in August 2014, when her term expired.[1][2][3]
Biography and Education
Bolton received her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in 1973. After graduation, she worked as a news reporter, producer and co-anchor for various Chattanooga TV stations from 1971 to 1977. She then served as the Community and Employee Relations Manager for the Tennessee American Water Company (1977 - 1978) and as a Legislative Administrator for the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners (1978 - 1981). In 1981, she received her law degree from the Nashville School of Law.[1][2]
Career
Bolton began her legal career in 1981 as an associate of Eugene N. Collins & Associates. She worked there until 1985, when she became a private practice lawyer and a City Attorney for the City of Soddy-Daisy, TN. In 1989, she left those positions to serve as a judge of the Hamilton County Juvenile Court. The following year, she returned to the private practice. She was elected a Circuit Court judge in 1998.[1]
