Jacy Hurst
Jacy Hurst is a judge for Position 13 of the Kansas Court of Appeals. She assumed office on March 23, 2021. Her current term ends on January 11, 2027.
Hurst ran for re-election for the Position 13 judge of the Kansas Court of Appeals. She won in the retention election on November 8, 2022.
Governor Laura Kelly (D) appointed Hurst to fill the vacancy created when Judge Melissa Standridge was appointed to the Kansas Supreme Court.[1]
Biography
Hurst's professional experience includes working with the Kansas City firm of Stinson LLP as a commercial litigator and as general counsel and chief compliance officer at Swope Health Services. At the time of her appointment, she was a partner at Kutak Rock LLP in Kansas City.
Hurst earned her B.S. in business administration from the University of Kansas in 2002 and her J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2006.[2]
