Jada Lewis
Jada Lewis was a member of the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education representing District 8. A Democrat, Lewis was first elected in 2015.
Biography
As of November 2017, Lewis was the assistant dean of diversity at the Louisiana State University College of Engineering. Prior to that, Lewis served as a regional technical advisor at the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality. She had previously worked as an operations planning engineer at Motiva Convent Refinery.[1]

Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (2016-present)
Lewis was first elected to the board in October 2015 and took office in January 2016. In January 2017, she was elected as the board's secretary-treasurer for 2017. She did not run for re-election in 2019.[2]
