Jails and Prisons, West Virginia House of Delegates
The Jails and Prisons Committee is a standing committee of the West Virginia House of Delegates.[1]
Per the House Rules, West Virginia House of Delegates committees are assigned by the Speaker of the House, unless the House orders otherwise. The Speaker must designate a chair for all standing committees and may also designate a vice chair. Additionally, the Speaker serves as an ex officio voting member and chair of the Rules Committee. A majority of committee members constitutes a quorum.[2]
