Jake Zimmerman was a Democratic candidate for the office of Attorney General of Missouri in the state's 2016 election.

Zimmerman previously served as a Democratic member of the Missouri House of Representatives representing District 83 from 2007 until his resignation in April 2011. He resigned after winning an election to become St. Louis County assessor.[1]

Zimmerman is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Claremont McKenna College. He has served as Deputy Chief Legal Counsel to Missouri Governor Bob Holden, Assistant Attorney General for the State of Missouri, and as an Attorney with Thompson Coburn, Limited Liability Partnership. At the time of the 2016 election, he served as the St. Louis County Assessor.

He is also a member of Congregation B'nai Amoona and the Crown Center.[2]
