Jamal Fox
Jamal Fox was a member of the Greensboro City Council in North Carolina, representing District 2. He was elected in 2013 and re-elected in 2015.[1]
Fox announced his resignation from the council in June 2017.[2] In July 2017, he announced that he had accepted a job as property and business development manager for the city of Portland, Oregon.[3]
Biography
Fox was born in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina. He received a bachelor's degree in political science from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and a master's degree in public administration from Capella University. His professional experience includes teaching at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University as an adjunct professor, community advocacy and youth mentoring.[4]

The city of Greensboro, North Carolina, held elections for mayor and city council on November 3, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was August 7, 2015.[5] In the District 2 race, incumbent Jamal Fox defeated Thessa Pickett in the general election on November 3, 2015.[6][7]
