James Henry Alesia (1934-2003) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Alesia was nominated to the Northern District of Illinois by President Ronald Reagan on February 2, 1987, to a seat vacated by George Leighton; he was confirmed by the Senate on May 19, 1987, and received commission the next day. He assumed senior status on February 1, 1998. He served the Northern District of Illinois until his death on July 24, 2003.[1]
