James Brian Huff was a presiding family court judge of Circuit 10 in Jefferson County.[1] He served on the court from 2005 until 2012.[2]

Education

Judge Huff earned his B.A. from the University of Alabama and his J.D. from the Birmingham School of Law.[2][3]

Career

Judge Huff was admitted to the Alabama Bar on September 27, 1996.[4] Prior to becoming judge, he worked as a lawyer and focused on the areas of family, juvenile and domestic relations law.[2]

2012 election

Huff was defeated by Raymond Pearson Chambliss in the general election on November 6, receiving 47.13% of the vote.[5][6][7]

Birmingham Bar Association ratings

In October, the Birmingham Bar Association compiled results of its Judicial Primary Qualifications Poll. 687 members of the association participated in the poll, though all members did not participate in each evaluation. Below are the candidate's results.[8]
