James Carlson (Wisconsin)
James L. Carlson is a former circuit court judge for the Walworth County Circuit Court in Walworth County, Wisconsin.[1] He was appointed to the court by former Governor Lee S. Dreyfus in May 1979, elected in 1980, and served until 2016.[2]
Education
Carlson received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School.[3]
Career
Before he became a judge, Carlson served as a district attorney for Walworth County and as an assistant attorney for Walworth City. He also previously worked as an attorney in private practice.[4]
2010 election
Carlson ran for re-election to the Walworth County Circuit Court on April 6, 2010. The race was uncontested, with Carlson being re-elected.[5]
