James R. Carrigan was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. Carrigan was nominated by President Jimmy Carter on June 1, 1979. He retired from the court on August 19, 1995.[1]

Judicial nominations and appointments

Carrigan was nominated by President Jimmy Carter on June 1, 1979, to a new seat created by 92 Stat. 1629. He was onfirmed by the Senate on September 25, 1979, and received commission on September 26, 1979. Carrigan assumed senior status on October 10, 1994. Carrigan retired from the court on August 19, 1995.[1] Carrigan was succeeded in this position by Judge Walker Miller.
